Electrochemical Advanced Oxidation Processes Using Diamond Technology: A Critical Review

چکیده
Re-evaluation of conventional wastewater treatment processes is paramount importance to improve the overall quality our aquatic environment. Electrochemical Advanced Oxidation Processes (EAOPs) are most promising alternative methods with application in facilities since situ electrogenerated oxidant agents degrade and mineralize a wide range water pollutants. Boron-doped diamond (BDD) technology has proven its excellency anodic oxidation (AO) different In this work, we describe use systematic literature review (SLR) methodology bibliometric analysis tool for assessment representative sample work (hundreds publications) concerning synergism between AO using BDD other methods. One section discussion relates techniques used enhance performance technology, namely persulfate radicals or ozone photoelectrocatalysis, whereas second one considers Fenton-based reactions. A standard effect occurs add-ons methods, resulting enhancement degradation mineralization efficiencies. The future EAOPs must include renewable energy sources self-sustain process, further research on subject mandatory enable effective acceptance such remediation facilities.

Advanced treatment of biologically pretreated coking wastewater by electrochemical oxidation using boron-doped diamond electrodes.
Electrochemical oxidation is a promising technology to treatment of bio-refractory wastewater. Coking wastewater contains high concentration of refractory and toxic compounds and the water quality usually cannot meet the discharge standards after conventional biological treatment processes. This paper initially investigated the electrochemical oxidation using boron-doped diamond (BDD) anode for...
متن کاملElectrochemical Advanced Oxidation Processes (EAOPs) for Environmental Applications
Conventional processes for water treatment are inefficient for the remediation of wastewaters containing toxic and biorecalcitrant organic pollutants. A large number of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) have been successfully applied to degrade pollutants present in waters. These methods are based on the generation of a very powerful oxidizing agent such as hydroxyl radical ( • OH) in solutio...
متن کامل3 . 0 Advanced Oxidation Processes Literature Review
Organic compounds, including MTBE, have been treated in drinking water using AOPs at several sites across the United States over the past five years. The largest system (3,000 gpm) is a medium pressure H 2 O 2 /MP-UV system installed in Salt Lake City, Utah to remove up to 10 µg/L PCE from drinking water (Crawford, 1999). Other systems are installed in Canada for the removal of N-nitroso dimeth...
متن کاملAdvanced oxidation processes against alkyl phenols in groundwater samples
Spectrophotometric examinations showed the presence of phenolic compounds in the organic residue collected from four groundwater resources located in vicinity of an oil refinery at the outskirt of Tehran. The average concentration of total phenolic compounds was about 0.38 mg.L-1 in these samples using Folin-Ciocalteu method. GC-Mass analysis disclosed that alkylphenols were the major phenolic ...
